Peace and Justice Commission
The National Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order is bringing the Gospel to Life through the Apostolic Commissions.
This approach provides a focus for activities in support of the five commissions: Formation, Ecology, Family, Peace and Justice, and Work. Each commission is headed by individuals that have been called to provide insight and support in the area of their commission. These Commission leaders are appointed for a period of three years with the provision that they can serve for two terms if so needed.
The objective of the National Chair is to provide a point of contact between the National Fraternity and the Regional Fraternities throughout the country for areas of concern. In each region there should be active chairs for each of the commissions on the regional executive council, which in effect reflects the model of the National Fraternity.
